Athens, the capital of Greece, is a major international gateway with an international airport, Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport (ATH), that connects to numerous destinations around the world.


From Athens, you have to options to arrive to Paros. the first one is that you can catch direct flights to many of the popular Greek islands, including Paros, among others. There are several daily flights from Athens to Paros, making it easy to plan your island hopping itinerary.

The second option is that you can take a ferry or a high-speed Ferry from the port of Piraeus or Rafina to Paros. The ferry ride takes approximately 4-6 hours, while the high-speed Ferry takes around 3-4 hours. The journey allows you to enjoy the scenic views of the Aegean Sea and the surrounding islands as you cruise towards Paros.

Mykonos, known for its vibrant nightlife, cosmopolitan atmosphere, and beautiful beaches, is another popular starting point for island hopping. Mykonos has an international airport, Mykonos Island National Airport (JMK). The flight from Mykonos to Paros has a stop in Athens which makes the flight longer but for some people it is more conviniet as they do not feel good in a ferry so it is good to know about this option. The best option to continue from Mykonos is to take the ferry to Paros

Santorini, famous for its stunning sunsets, volcanic beaches, and white-washed buildings, is also well-connected with direct flights. Santorini has an international airport, Santorini Thira National Airport (JTR), that offers t flights to Paros but also here there will be a stop in Athens so it is suitable only for those who really doesn't like the ferry.  The best option to continue from Santorini is to take the ferry to Paros

The Cyclades Islands are a group of about 220 islands in the Aegean Sea, located southeast of mainland Greece. Some of the most popular Cyclades Islands include Santorini, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, and Ios. They are also famous for their rich history, ancient ruins, and traditional cuisine

Athens, Mykonos or Santorini, where would you start?

I would suggest to book a flight to one destination and return from another destination.

Traveling In between the Islands is easy by a ferry boat and ferry booking online is easy too.

It is recommended to spend 2 -4 days in each Island.


Day 1: Athens

Day 3: Athens

  • Visit the stunning Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, about an hour's drive from Athens, and watch the sunset over the Aegean Sea.

  • In the evening, head back to Athens for a farewell dinner before flying to Mykonos the next day.


Day 4: Mykonos

  • Arrive in Mykonos and check into your hotel

  • Spend the day exploring the island's charming alleys, iconic windmills and lively Little Venice.

  • Enjoy dinner at one of the many seafood restaurants in Mykonos Town.


Day 5: Mykonos

  • Spend the day relaxing on one of Mykonos' beautiful beaches such as Paradise Beach, Super Paradise Beach or Elia Beach.

  • In the evening, head out to one of the island's famous nightclubs, such as Cavo Paradiso or Paradise Club.


Day 6: Paros

  • Take a morning ferry to Paros and check into your hotel

  • Spend the day exploring the island's charming villages such as Naoussa and Parikia, or rent a car to explore more remote areas.

  • Enjoy dinner at a seaside restaurant in Naoussa, known for its fresh seafood and picturesque harbor.


Day 7: Paros

  • Spend the day exploring Paros' beaches such as Golden Beach, Santa Maria Beach or Kolymbithres Beach.

  • In the evening, attend a traditional Greek music and dance show in Parikia.


Day 9: Paros

  • Take a boat tour around the island to discover hidden beaches and caves, and swim in crystal-clear waters.

  • In the evening, have a final dinner in Paros before taking a ferry to Santorini the next day.


Day 10: Santorini and Departure

  • Take a morning ferry to Santorini and check into your hotel

  • Spend the day exploring the island's famous caldera and picturesque villages such as Oia and Fira.

  • Enjoy dinner with a view of the caldera and the famous Santorini sunset.


Day 11: Santorini and Departure

  • Take a morning flight back home, or spend some time exploring more of Santorini before departing.

  • Visit the ancient site of Akrotiri, take a wine tasting tour, or relax on one of the island's famous black sand beaches.
